What Is PGTSeq-A?
PGTseq-A (Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy) is a next-generation genetic screening method used during the IVF/ICSI process. It evaluates all 23 pairs of chromosomes (22 autosomes + 1 sex chromosome pair: XX or XY) in each embryo before transfer into the uterus. This helps select the most viable embryos, improving the chance of implantation, reducing miscarriage risk, and minimizing genetic disorders in newborns.
Compared to traditional PGT-A, PGTseq-A offers more refined analysis and overcomes previous technical limitations for more accurate embryo selection.
